Lauri graduated in 1986 with a Bachelor degree in Economic Science from the Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration. A marketing professional, who’s career commenced in the early 80’s working in market research.
He is a speaker and trainer at Helsinki School of Economics (late 90’s) and at The Institute of Marketing and Information Oy (MIF) on the subjects of Marketing, Communications Strategy and Brand Strategy.
Prior to working for MARK, The Finnish Marketing Association, where he has been CEO from August 1, 2009; Lauri had 20 years of experience in different advertising agencies (McCann, DDB, Publicis, Bates/Ded Cell) working as account manager/director, deputy managing director and CEO.
He has also worked in personal services and within the recruitment business responsible for sales and marketing. Beside his current post at MARK; he is also an active board member and partner of Pro-Source Oy (recruitment, personnel services and consulting company) and Trueflaw Oy (niche technology company).
Lauri is also the Chairman of the Consumer Marketing Inspection Board at Pharma Industry Finland and Vice Chairman of the Consumer Marketing Inspection Board at The Federation of Brewing and Soft Drinks Industry. He is also an active speaker and trainer at different seminars and in schools.
He is an author of two books on marketing: “Käytännön markkinointi. Nyt” (“Marketing in practice. Now.”) Infor Oy, October 2008 and “Mielipidejohtaja” (“Opinion Leader”) written together with Mr. Jarkko Kurvinen, Talentum Oyj, April 2014.
In addition to this he currently writes several articles in different publications and blog articles on several marketing sites.
